ABOUT AMY HARPER

Amy Harper is the Vice President of Retail Development for the apparel and accessories divisions and international business at Dallas Market Center. She’s responsible for discovering, building and maintaining crucial relationships and partnerships with exhibitors and retailers in the U.S. and globally.

With the Dallas Market Center since 2001, Amy is a proven leader who brings together high profile brands, retailers, buyers, experts and influencers to engage in collaborations and create experiences that increase the value and profitability of Dallas Market Center as a wholesale business.

Amy attributes her passion for retail and respect for the independent store owner to her first job at a Dallas children’s boutique during her youth. It was there she learned firsthand about the hard work and tenacity needed to work in the retail industry.

With a B.S. in fashion merchandising from Stephen F. Austin University, she went on to hold managerial roles in sales and merchandising for The Gap Corporation and managing and buying for a Dallas women’s contemporary specialty store.

Amy believes in supporting women to be confident and self-sufficient and serves on several boards that promote this mission. She’s currently on the board of Attitudes and Attire and the president and treasurer of the Fashion Group International which provides scholarships for students in the fashion and lifestyle industries. She participates on the fashion advisory board for El Centro Community College and Stephen F. Austin University and previously served on the advisory board for the Art Institute of Dallas.

Amy loves her work, is honored to work with strong women forging their own path in business and is dedicated to the continued growth of her industry.
