The Exchange is all about sharing retail knowledge, learnings and insider tips.

In this edition of The Exchange, we ask retailers three important questions:

1. What are your bestselling NEW products?

Retailer: Ellie Scofield, owner of Spectrum Saddle Shop

Dreamers & Schemers boot socks

Coat Defense paste

Retailer: Eric Olsen, owner of Olsen’s Cowboy Shop, Inc.

Venario Inc.

M&F Western products

Retailer: Annette Johnson, Director of Revenue, Old Tucson Company

2. What new categories of products have you added to your store recently and why?

Retailer: Ellie Scofield, owner of Spectrum Saddle Shop

We’ve added dog products, including: dog collars, leashes and beds.

Why? Dog products are a nice complement to horse products and we’ve already found success with personalized tags and engraved plates.

Retailer: Eric Olsen, owner of Olsen’s Cowboy Shop, Inc.

We’re adding Double D Ranch and Walls Outdoor Goods to our store.

Why? We see value in representing opposite ends of the industry by carrying both high end and work wear.

Retailer: Annette Johnson, Director of Revenue, Old Tucson Company

We’ve added solar lights, vintage old signs, yard spinners, fountains and cactus.

Why? We wanted to expand the home products we offer by adding unique items for outdoor and garden.
