During Dallas Design Days, the Dine + Design Luncheon brought professionals together for an insightful afternoon focused on the power of color and the effect of undertones. Presented by Benjamin Moore, Modern Luxury Interiors, and Dallas Market Center, the CEU-accredited event was led by Hannah Yeo, Senior Manager of Color Marketing & Development at Benjamin Moore.

dinedesignYeo’s presentation, “Understanding Undertones: The Nuances of Color,” explored how subtle shifts in undertones can dramatically affect the mood, balance, and perception of interior spaces. From light to material, the lunch offered attendees tools to design with intention, while understanding the fine details of a color and finish.

Bringing theory to life, the event featured a palette-inspired tablescape that reflected Benjamin Moore’s 2025 color trends, including the newly announced Color of the Year: Cinnamon Slate, which is described as a “rich, grounded hue that evokes warmth and sophistication.” Cinnamon Slate was the centerpiece for discussions around depth, warmth, and quiet color and set the tone for a thoughtful design that emphasized their 2025 colors.

The full 2025 Color Trends palette includes ten coordinating hues—Blue Nova, White Dove, and Antoinette—which were chosen for the ability to complement and reveal undertones across various applications. Designers left with an appreciation for how nuanced color selection can transform a space and elevate design storytelling.

As the signature events of Dallas Design Days, the Dine + Design Luncheon combined visual inspiration, practical knowledge, and trend insight, reminding attendees that every successful design begins with a full understanding of color.
