Conversations with Cindy: The Countdown to January Fashion Week Has Begun

Posted by Cindy Morris on October 20, 2026

Dallas Market Center was founded on a mission to represent products and brands across a wide spectrum of categories giving buyers a one-stop resource for their purchasing needs.

A lot has changed in the nearly seven decades since DMC opened its doors, but not the core idea: We still give market goers a single destination in which to do all that buying. And by adding some strategic scheduling we make it easier and more convenient for buyers and exhibitors across multiple categories. That’s certainly the case in early 2027 when we will do our annual January Fashion Week. From January 19 to the 22, we’ll be showcasing companies across multiple categories, including Apparel & Accessories, WESA (that’s the Western Market for those of you who don’t know), AETA (American Equestrian Trade Association) and KidsWorld. That’s followed immediately by the Dallas Men’s Show from January 23 to 25.

No one else presents all these opportunities together in one spot, enabling buyers to shop across more categories while supporting exhibitors in reaching additional accounts. And Dallas does it with the most conveniently laid out campus where everything is connected in one complex with no need to go outside or go down endless hallways and corridors to get to your next step.

I know when I first started working at the Market Center — let’s not say how long ago — that was what really struck me: Everything was together and over the years it’s gotten even better.

I know travel can be costly these days but it’s why I think if you’ve got the budget for only one market visit in January, you really ought to make it Dallas.
