Why Design Week Was So Important for the Entire DMC Community

Written by Dallas Market Center | October 3, 2025

It was only three weeks ago that we finished our Dallas Design Week but the postscript is that it was a hit for both exhibitors and visiting designers who got to experience an amazing event.

We welcomed designers from across the country, as well as some of the most influential and celebrated names in the industry, including Javier Burkle, Paloma Contreras, Katie Davis, Chad Dorsey, Caroline Gidiere, Nina Magon, Doniphan Moore, Eric Ross and more.

Attendees had the opportunity to meet design authors during book signings with Chad Dorsey, Eric Ross, Paloma Contreras and Caroline Gidiere and network with top design publication editors from Modern Luxury, LUXE Interiors + Design, PaperCity and Milieu.

The centerpiece event for Design Week was Dine + Design, presented by Sherwin-Williams and sponsored by Modern Luxury Interiors. The 2026 Colormix® Anthology: Volume Two presented bold color narratives and design directions poised to influence interiors, architecture, and lifestyle and was led by Emily Kantz, color marketing manager at Sherwin-William.

Exhibitors throughout the market center hosted great events during Dallas Design Week, including Coco & Dash, Feizy, Design Directions, Visual Comfort, Palecek, and Conceito Brasil Design Group. The event culminated with the Closing Soirée presented by Dallas Market Center, Surya, Global Views, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, LUXE Interiors + Design, and ASID. Designers were able to network, enjoy live music, and reflect on an inspiring week.

But here’s what truly made it an extraordinary event: It was held concurrently with our ArchLIGHT Summit and the Total Home & Gift Market. The ability to co-locate events and allow them to draw from a much wider audience is one of the things that DMC works very hard to make happen. And it’s one of the things that makes Dallas an extraordinary stop on the trade show circuit as no one else can combine all of these elements into one cohesive event. DMC will continue to find synergies that make trade shows and markets more effective -- and efficient -- for both exhibitors and visitors. It’s what we do.
