Trust is a hard parameter to measure when it comes to shopping but a new survey from the research company Morning Consult provided some answers from consumers in a number of individual retail categories.
Across all the channels, the survey found that in an uncertain time in the country, consumers are placing their trust in familiar, dependable brands. Tracking more than 3,200 brands, the survey asked, “How much do you trust this brand to do what is right?”
Across specific product category, here are the consumer choices according to the survey:
Apparel – Levi’s
Auto service – AutoZone
Convenience store – 7-Eleven
Cosmetic & beauty – Bath & Body Works
Grocery store – Aldi
Home improvement – Home Depot
Mobile & internet – T-Mobile
Oil & gas – Shell
Pet store – PetSmart
Pharmacy – Walgreens
Social media – Pinterest
Tech – Google
Morning Consult also asked consumers which product brands they trusted the most and Dawn Dish Soap led all brands with the number one trust ranking, followed by Band Aid at number two.
