# Talking Western Footwear with the FDRA and Ariat

Since a dedicated western apparel, fashion accessories and footwear marketplace debuted at Dallas Market Center in 2020, the category has grown significantly. As the overall western trend has captured the country’s attention -- and buying power -- that’s especially true.

Western footwear has been a big part of the story, one that’s the subject of the newest episode of the video podcast The Shoe-in Show from the Footwear Retailers & Distributors of America (FDRA). Hosts Matt Priest and Christine Horan sat down with DMC's Cindy Morris and Sharon Carpenter, vice president of sales at Ariat International, to talk about the growth of the market and why Dallas is now the heart of the western footwear market.
