The new brands, represented inside multiple showrooms, will move into custom spaces on the first and second floors of the building in the first half of 2026. This is the largest project for the development of new showrooms inside Dallas Market Center in more than a decade.
Construction has already begun on the first showroom, C. Maddox & Co., which represents more than 30 home furnishings brands. A custom 40,000 square foot flagship showroom on the second floor is expected to open in the spring. C. Maddox & Co. was previously located on the 9th floor of the World Trade Center and will be followed by additional showrooms relocating from the 9th floor, which will become flexible tradeshow space for events throughout the year.
“These new showrooms underscore our commitment to the business of home décor, and these respected brands benefit from the steady traffic of an open-daily design center plus our market-time traffic throughout the year,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “As companies consider where to expand their business to reach more designers and retailers, the demand for permanent showroom space is at a premium.”
Additional announcements are expected over the coming weeks regarding brands and showrooms arriving into the IHDC. Meanwhile, as DMC’s temporary tradeshow business continues to expand, the 9th floor will be redeveloped to serve as a location for trade events throughout the year. Finally, the Trade Mart second floor is undergoing a flooring transformation, with carpet being removed and the concrete sealed and polished to create a more contemporary environment. These projects, and others to come, represent a significant financial commitment to improving the marketplace experience in 2026.
