Inspiration at Dallas Design Week

Dallas Design Week was an inspiring showcase of creativity and innovation, featuring a range of events that united industry leaders and design professionals. The centerpiece of Dallas Design Week was Dine + Design - Sherwin-Williams Colormix 2025, where attendees explored the latest color trends. This event set the tone for the week’s educational panels, tours, and experiences centered around four key pillars: Art, Holiday/Floral, Hospitality, and Tabletop. 

Events: 

The Sherwin-Williams Dine+Design luncheon is the centerpiece of Design Week, where designers gained valuable insights into the Colormix 2025 color forecast through capsules showcasing colors and finishes that are meant to inspire design trends that will be seen throughout 2025. 

The week kicked off with the first events around first pillar topic, Tabletop, with Modern Luxury's Jane Humphrey leading Serving Up Design: Elevating Projects with Luxury Tabletop, a discussion on the latest tabletop and lifestyle trends with tabletop arbiters of taste, Beatriz Ball, Courtney Petit, Kimberly Schlegel Whitman, and Missy Peck. Attendees learned tips for sourcing and styling tabletop items and concluded with a tour exploring tabletop resources across the marketplace, led by with Ginger Hartford, Sr. Director of Design, DMC and Courtney Petit

Hospitality, another pillar featured during Dallas Design Week, was explored during Bringing Hospitality Home: Drawing Influence & Inspiration from Hotel-Inspired Design, Sponsored by Luxe Interiors + Design. This panel featured Pamela Jaccarino, Chief Creative + Content Officer | LUXE Design Guild, Editor At Large LUXE Interiors + Design, Chad Dorsey of Chad Dorsey Design, Melinda Clark of Harwood International, Kara Adam of Kara Adam Interiors, and Catie Conlon of Swoon sharing insights on blending warmth and sophistication, emphasizing the growing trend of incorporating hospitality elements into personal spaces.

To end the hospitality portion of the day, VIP guests attended Dallas Destination Design: Hôtel Swexan VIP Experience, complete with craft cocktails and a private tour of the award-winning hotel. This immersive experience highlighted the intersection of hospitality and high-end design, offering attendees insider information about the award-winning hotel and design process behind it. 

The third pillar discussed was Holiday/Floral and had A Designer Holiday: Trends in Holiday & Floral Design, with Jessica Otte of D Home leading a panel of merry experts Linda Baker of Baker Design Group, Alisa Berry of Alisa Berry Design, and Kurt Carr of Vickerman Company as they discussed top holiday & floral trends and how to bring this exciting service to your business. The panel concluded with a tour led by Ginger Hartford and designer Alisa Berry showcasing curated resources across the campus, offering designers firsthand access to holiday and floral options.

The final pillar of Art was explored with Design & Style with Art, a panel Led by Billy Fong, Editor of PaperCity Dallas, with panelists Ginger Hartford, Sr. Director of Design of Dallas Market Center, Sarah Hargrave of The Collective Dallas, Courtney McGrail of CMG Art Advisory, and Laura Britt of Britt Design Group as they explored the important role of art in the design process. Attendees learned how to source and style art effectively, followed by a guided tour of fine art resources available at the Dallas Market Center led by award-winning designer and TV Host Donna Moss. 

Dallas Design Week was an inspiring event that not only celebrated design, but also connected industry professionals and provided inspiration and education for designers to explore different resources and trends in upcoming projects.
