1. What are the current industry trends you’re seeing?
The equestrian industry is continually evolving with innovative, thoughtful approaches to both rider fashion and horse-focused goods. For the rider, we see everything from neutrals to bright colors, and unique details that will allow you to stand out and express your personality in the arena. Durability, breathability, and performance properties will always remain at the forefront in English apparel and accessories for ultimate comfort. For the horse, we are seeing new technology being produced each season; some that I’ve seen lately are saddle pads, protective legwear, and therapy products.
2. What’s English brands or new lines and products are you most looking forward to?
Cavallo/German Equestrian is always a mandatory stop for me because each season, Cavallo offers pieces that truly work with the active equestrian lifestyle in any weather scenario. Additionally, I’ll be looking for noteworthy equine therapy products that can be used in the winter months, as well as heated rider gear - which is always a popular demand when I attend AETA as a Style Eye Influencer.
3. What are you most looking forward to at the January market?
AETA in January is such a wonderful market experience - you're seeing European brands and companies that may only attend the January market and not the August AETA. These additional wholesalers really add an exciting layer to AETA with fresh designs and buzz worthy products. I am also SO thrilled to finally browse through the newly added permanents English showrooms on the 10th floor!
4. What is your favorite thing about Dallas and Dallas Market Center?
While immersing yourself in all the equestrian fashion is remarkable, my favorite part about Dallas Market Center and the January AETA market would have to be the people. I LOVE LOVE LOVE connecting with the entrepreneurs and industry leaders behind the brands and learning about them face-to-face for a personal connection. Many of these businesses are women-owned, which makes the experience even more special. Building connections is everything, and my time in Dallas has fostered countless meaningful relationships, including with the incredible DMC team.
