The program arrives alongside DMC's broader design push, including more than 100 brands moving into new showrooms in the Interior Home + Design Center and a refreshed look for World Trade Center's 5th and 6th floors. Joining the Garrigans on the inaugural Design Advisory Board are Beth Dotolo and Carolina V. Gentry of Pulp Design Studios, Eddie Maestri of Maestri, Javier Burkle of Burkle Creative, Jen Stevens of Fonde Interiors, and Bryan and Mike Yates of Yates. We think about how a room will live once people are in it: whether the seating invites conversation, whether there is a place to set a drink, and whether the scale feels right. "We look for pieces with lasting usefulness and enough character to make a room feel like home. A bench-made chair in a chic Thibaut stripe from Coco & Dash speaks to comfort and craftsmanship, while a colorful lamp from Savoy House Lighting, a shagreen mirror from MC Studio, and a monogrammed chair bring color, texture, and a personal note. "Our work is centered on choosing pieces with lasting appeal, then layering them with warmth and personality.”   ![2609\_Design Ambassador Picks\_Coco&Dash\_PressRelease\_Post\_1080x1350](https://blog.dallasmarketcenter.com/hs-fs/hubfs/2609_Design%20Ambassador%20Picks_Coco%26Dash_PressRelease_Post_1080x1350.png?width=1150&height=761&name=2609_Design%20Ambassador%20Picks_Coco%26Dash_PressRelease_Post_1080x1350.png)   **Coco & Dash's Source List** - - **Magnolia armless chair** — Chaddock — Coco & Dash — IHDC 1D106 - **Outdoor swing** — Rose Casual — IHDC 2F430 - **Green Oaks swivel stool** — Palecek — IHDC 1D201 - **Judith mirror** — Sarreid Ltd. — MC Studio — IHDC 2F140, 2F215-TS 12 - **Baker monogrammed chair** — J. Teddie came to the business after a career in politics and crisis management, a five-year run operating a high-end Dallas boutique in the 1980s, and a childhood spent in Europe that shaped her well-traveled eye. Courtney, a University of North Texas graduate with a Bachelor of Science in counseling, owned Coco M Designs, an organizational design and space planning firm, before serving as principal and managing director of The Garrigan Group, which specialized in publicity, media relations, and special events for the hospitality and luxury lifestyle industries. The pair describes their look as “lots of color and comfort, a little bit of theater, and plenty of unpretentious luxury.” That point of view made Coco & Dash a three-time ARTS Award winner for Best Home Décor Shop in the Midwest/Southwest, one of *House Beautiful*’s Best Shops in America, and a Best of D Magazine and Best of D Home honoree. It also brought a steady stream of requests for design help, and so the Garrigans launched Coco & Dash Interiors, which now takes on residential and commercial projects in Dallas and beyond. In January 2025, the mother-daughter dynamos opened the Coco & Dash showroom in the Interior Home + Design Center at Dallas Market Center, introducing designers to small makers new to Dallas, including Fete Home, Jill Seale Design Studio, Chaddock Furniture Workroom, Pooky Lighting, and J. Wilkinson Chair Co., which is available to the trade exclusively through Coco & Dash. That June, Savoy House debuted Town & Country, a collection of about 30 lamps whose full-size designs were cast from molds made from the Garrigans’ own sketches. Teddie and Courtney also created the annual Speaking of Retail education series with Dallas Market Center. Through every new venture, they run the business by one simple motto: “Do the next right thing.” --- *The 2027 Markets kick off with* ***Lightovation*** *Jan. 6-9, with* ***Design + Build Day*** *preceding it Jan. 5.* ***Total Home & Gift Market*** *runs concurrently, Jan. 6-12.
