Design Ambassador Eddie Maestri Reveals The Unexpected Moment Every Room Needs

Maestri is a founding member of Dallas Market Center's new Design Ambassador Program, a year-long appointment for six design firms that will lead panels, build community connections, and style vignettes with pieces sourced entirely from Dallas Market Center.

The program arrives alongside DMC's broader design push, including more than 100 brands moving into new showrooms in the Interior Home + Design Center and a refreshed look for World Trade Center's 5th and 6th floors.

Joining Maestri on the inaugural Design Advisory Board are Beth Dotolo and Carolina V. Gentry of Pulp Design Studio, Courtney and Teddie Garrigan of Coco & Dash, Javier Burkle of of Burkle Creative, Jen Stevens of Fonde Interiors, and Bryan and Mike Yates of Yates Desygn.

Meet Eddie Maestri

Eddie Maestri, AIA, founded Maestri in 2008, bringing a design sensibility shaped by his New Orleans upbringing to Dallas. Maestri offers architecture, interior architecture, interior design, renovations, new construction, historic preservation, and bespoke furnishings, with recognition from Architectural Digest and House Beautiful and awards in historic restoration and residential design.

He began sketching homes and interiors as a child, drawn to the architecture of his hometown, and still carries a sketchbook when he travels — a habit that remains central to how he develops ideas and communicates them to clients. What started as a solo practice has grown into a multidisciplinary studio recognized for balancing history and modernity across historic renovations, new builds, and interiors.

Maestri's approach treats architecture and interiors as a single discipline rather than separate layout and decoration. This is informed in part by his Master's Degree Certificate in Health Systems and Design, which examined how built environments affect physical health, emotional well-being, and daily behavior. As a father, Maestri approaches homes as environments that need to adapt to family rhythms and daily life rather than remain static. He describes the most influential elements of a space—light quality, acoustics, sensory experience, spatial flow—as often the least visible, a concept he calls Invisible Design.

Outside client work, Maestri has extended the studio's design language into product collections: the Arcana Mantel Collection, sculptural fireplace mantels drawing on global architectural elements, and the Montmartre Series, a wallpaper line developed with Ever Atelier from his hand-drawn sketches, including the pattern Architectural Reign.
