Dallas Design Week returns to Dallas Market Center September 15–17, mixing business strategy, design legacy, and even color forecasting together with unbeatable networking. Here are four standout events that are not to be missed.
BOH x DMC Business Accelerator Series
Tuesday, September 15
The first installment of the Business Accelerator Series tackled how designers land a project. This one explores how to keep it. Across four sessions at WTC 6440, Business of Home editor-in-chief Kaitlin Petersen leads designers through the mechanics of a relationship built to last past the signed contract.
The morning opens with Sean Low, president of The Business of Being Creative, on establishing authority and building client trust from the first meeting. Attorney Wendy Estela follows with a breakdown of the contract clauses and boundaries that set every project up for a smooth run. Then, three working designers walk through their own client presentations, from decks to samples to meeting structure, in a moderated conversation with Petersen.

The day closes with direct access to the speakers themselves. Attendees can visit four showrooms — Palecek, Ethan & Associates, MC Studio & The Gallery — for coffee, dessert, and one-on-one conversation as Petersen rotates through all four.

Charlotte's Eye: How Instinct Shapes a Life in Rooms
Wednesday, September 16
Charlotte Moss opened her firm in 1985 and has spent four decades defining what she calls "couture living" — beautiful rooms built for the people who use them. On Wednesday afternoon, Coco & Dash brings her to Dallas.
"Charlotte's Eye" will run 2 to 3 p.m. just outside the Coco & Dash showroom (IHDC 1D106). The conversation will touch on travel, collecting, entertaining, and craftsmanship, tracing how each has shaped the instincts behind her 11 books and licensed collections with names like Century Furniture and Stark Carpet.

Immediately following, from 3 to 4 p.m., Moss will signs copies of her newest book, Charlotte Moss: At Home in Virginia, out this September.
The book walks through her own home and gardens with the eye of a design historian and the sensibility of someone who has lived in the rooms she's describing. Copies will be available for purchase on-site, with personalization from Moss herself. The event is complimentary, but advance registration is encouraged.
Dine + Design: Sherwin-Williams Rewild Colormix® Trend Forecast 2027
Wednesday, September 16
Dine + Design has a new home this year in the Samsung showroom (TM 4604).

Presented by Dallas Market Center, Sherwin-Williams, Samsung, and Modern Luxury Interiors, the CEU luncheon — led by the Sherwin-Williams Trendsight Team® — gives designers a first look at the palette that will shape color conversations across residential, hospitality, and commercial work for the year ahead. Explore emerging color, materials, and design trends while connecting with fellow designers and discovering fresh ideas to elevate your work.
The luncheon runs 12–1 p.m.; RSVP is required and seating is limited, so reserve your spot early.
DMC Design Ambassador Vignette Reveal Party
Wednesday, September 16
Dallas Design Week closes with a party built around new work. From 4 to 6 p.m. in IHDC 1, Dallas Market Center will unveil the newest vignette installations from Design Ambassadors Javier Burkle of Burkle Creative and Bryan and Mike Yates of Yates Desygn — the second vignette reveal in the Design Ambassador Program's inaugural year.
Expect a full evening of wine tasting, live music, passed hors d'oeuvres, and two fully realized spaces that show each firm's distinct point of view. Here's a sneak peek of Burkle Creative's vignette:

The Details
Dallas Design Week (September 15–17) runs alongside ArchLIGHT Summit (September 15–16), the DALI Alliance's North America Summit (September 16-17), and— for the first time — ASID's national GATHER: Catalyst conference (September 16–18) — putting an unusually wide cross-section of the design and lighting industries on campus at the same time.
