With these exciting games come even more excited fans -- and lots of them, too. That’s why securing your Dallas market hotel room as early as possible is especially critical this year. Attendees will be getting a video soon with more details from DMC president Cindy Morris, but we can give you a sneak preview: "As you know, World Cup games are happening in North Texas during June Markets, although 20 miles away from Dallas Market Center. We have known this for years, and that’s why we have hotel blocks with locked-in rates that are typical for a market. These hotel blocks can scale up, at the same rates, to meet demand. The latest reports we have from the hotels is that they are not anticipating selling out. Also, many hotels who initially had large World Cup blocks of rooms have been willing to offer us additional room blocks as their demand has not met expectations. We are tracking all of this but the important message is that everyone needs to book their hotels via our website and travel partner, Connections Housing. You may hear about buyers using their favorite hotel app or another travel service and quoting high room rates. If they simply visit our website they may book rooms for typical market rates. We are sharing this message across all communications but thanks for your help."
