The Dallas Market Center has always been the place where independent retailers can shop for their stores but what some people may not realize is that it’s also a big meeting point for major stores and top buying groups.
At June's apparel, accessories, gift, home and lighting market events, big companies who represent billions of dollars in purchasing power were in town, both to shop the shows and hold important planning meetings. Dallas’s central location, specialized conference room facilities, and broad-based assortment of products make it an ideal location for retailers and buyers, large and small.
“The interest in doing business at Dallas Market Center by large-volume buyers has only increased because we offer an efficient, supportive and safe location,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “Our marketplace and private meeting spaces allow for these important buyers to see new products and feel welcome.”
New meeting space debuted for June on the fourth floor of the World Trade Center; Southwest Buying Group, with members representing more than 700 doors, was the first to host a meeting in this location. Notable private buys scheduled for June included Dillard’s which has five different buying events scheduled over the summer as well as sent buyers to June markets.
Large-volume buyers are provided a range of support and amenities including dedicated staff members to assist them, meeting rooms, private buy space, product sourcing and catering services, among others.
A growing list of major stores and key retailers registered for the June markets, including these buying groups:
ASTRA, Boutique Hub Summit, Hospital Gift Shops, MAI, Purchasing Power Plus and Southwest Buying Group.
