Lightovation, the Dallas International Lighting Show, is just around the corner, January 18-22. As the most comprehensive collection of decorative and architectural lighting products and systems, Lightovation showcases innovative designs and technologies each January and June. To celebrate this, this upcoming winter edition will feature a special display of winners from the 2016 “Lighting for Tomorrow” competition, the first opportunity for most in the industry to see these products in person.
The Lighting for Tomorrow competition, organized by the American Lighting Association (ALA), the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) and Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL), pushes the lighting industry forward, providing a forum for manufacturers to showcase high-quality and innovative design, and contribute to the greater energy efficiency movement.
Two grand prize winners, both Lightovation exhibitors, were named in the 2016 competition: Trulux indoor lighting from American Lighting and the Seraph Chandelier from Blackjack Lighting.
Seraph Chandelier from Blackjack Lighting
Lighting for Tomorrow judges had this to say about Trulux: “We love the customization and flexibility of this innovative system, as well as the multi-function dimming and color tuning on a single control. It’s simple, user and installer friendly, and a new trend that’s hard to ignore.”
And for the Seraph Chandelier, judges said, “The cool factor of this chandelier is high, and the appearance is striking. Its dimming is spectacular and the fixture looks great at any brightness. The thoughtfulness of the design, including the downlight is very unique.”
