Frequently Asked Questions for June Market

Posted by Dallas Market Center on June 19, 2020

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

What are your health and safety guidelines?

We have new measures in place to ensure that DMC supports good health for everyone. These measures are in effect every day for the foreseeable future. That includes behaviors such as masks, temperature checks and social distancing but also changes to the marketplace including signage, plexiglass shields, increased sanitation, and 100+ hand sanitizer stations just to start. Our full list of guidelines are outlined here.

Along with these new steps, the natural design features of our marketplace allow for social distancing: open parking, large entryways, registration areas in each building, wide hallways, multiple escalators, and showrooms with controlled access.

Are masks required and will there be temperature checks?

Yes. All individuals including buyers, staff and showroom personnel must be temperature screened every day prior to entry to the marketplace. Anyone with a temperature above 100 will be screened a second time. Anyone with a consistently elevated temperature will not be allowed into the marketplace. In addition, all individuals must wear an approved personal protective mask or cloth face covering. These masks or coverings must be worn at all times throughout the building common areas except while eating in designated locations. If a buyer arrives without a mask, they will be issued one by DMC. Customers without masks will not be granted access. Masks or cloth face coverings must cover the nose and mouth and may be reusable fabric or three-ply disposable masks. Medical face shields are also acceptable and must fully cover the face. Showrooms will also be expected to comply with the County order for face coverings.

Are all entrances to DMC open?

We will have limited entrances open in order to properly screen every person. The available entrances are: World Trade Center front door, World Trade Center garage entry, World Trade Center Dock 1, Trade Mart front door, Trade Mart west entry, and IHDC front entry. All other doors will be locked and a notice placed at the door.

Is Dallas a safe city to visit?

An increase in testing and delayed reporting has meant that Dallas has reported additional cases of Coronavirus. County and City officials as well as local health experts have indicated that everyone has a responsibility to wear masks, wash hands regularly and keep distance from other people.

How are DMC preferred hotels practicing health & safety protocols?

All hotel partners have plans in place and guidelines for visitors to keep them safe. Please check with the individual hotels to see their protocols.
