ARTS Awards Interior Designer - FINALISTS

Which interior designer will be awarded the ARTS Awards trophy on January 10?

 

Dallas Market Center and ART, the creative home furnishings network, produce the annual ARTS Awards to honor the best interior designers, manufacturers, retailers, product designers, and sales representatives across the home industry. This year’s list of interior design finalists is a strong group of experienced designers. The judges have their work cut out for them.

 

How does it work? The finalists, nominated by industry peers, each submitted a creative digital presentation to a panel of independent judges. In November, the judges convened in Dallas for two days to review each submission. A designated accounting firm has tabulated the scores and winners will be announced for the first time at the ARTS Awards gala on January 10 in Dallas.

 

Let’s meet the interior designer finalists:

 

Joni Vanderslice, president and owner of J. Banks Design Group of Hilton Head, SC. Joni founded her multidiscipline interior design firm over thirty-three years ago. Since then, she has nurtured the Hilton Head Island-based operation into an internationally recognized force in residential and resort design. With over fifty associates and a credo of luxury without pretense, J. Banks Design takes on a global portfolio of interior design projects that translate resort living to home—and home to resort living.

 

Maegan Swabb is lead designer and owner of M. Swabb Interior Design, a west coast design firm that specializes in creating spaces with a definitive “Wow” factor. Their clients are individuals and businesses that value cutting-edge creativity, high-end style and mindful attention to detail.

Laura Umansky, founder and president of Laura U Interior Design, a luxury residential interior design studio based in Houston, Texas. Laura has always had an appreciation for luxury interiors that are bold, unique, and remarkably curated. She founded the Laura U Interior Design firm to build beautiful legacies for her clients, treasured memories told through the art of high-end design and woven throughout every room of a home.

 

Libby Langdon, the creative force behind New York City-based Libby Langdon Interiors, is an interior designer, author, product designer and makeover television personality.  Langdon’s residential and commercial projects embodying her easy, elegant, everyday style have won industry acclaim and she is fast becoming known for her growing collections of branded home furnishings collections.

 

Shayla Copas is principal designer with Shayla Copas Interiors of Little Rock. She is a national award-winning designer, speaker, author, brand ambassador, and philanthropist. Shayla, one of the South’s most acclaimed luxury designers and tastemakers, has created unique and innovative interiors for an array of residential, commercial, and event clients throughout her more than 20-year career.
